Yes, I had my doubts if using OpenJDK would have problems, the reality is that no, and even the OpenJDK installer itself enters the PATH in the environment variable saving the user to configure it.
I feel that even when compiling the project is faster than before (not that it flies jajaja) but in 20% improved its performance, before it took 5 to 8 min (this depends on the hardware and size of the project you have) now it does it within the range of 5min.
When you install it download both the JDK and JRE version
